Suffix. Plural suffix. Personal (subject) suffix

Ending (Suffix) is an affix that is added to the root of a word and shows its grammatical meaning or its relationship with other words in a sentence. A suffix does not create a new word; it only gives grammatical meaning and determines the function of the word in the sentence. Plural suffix is a suffix that indicates that there is more than one object. The plural suffixes include -lar, -ler, -dar, -der, -tar, -ter. Their usage follows the vowel harmony rule. For example: kitap + tar = kitaptar (books), uy + ler = üyler (houses), qala + lar = qalalar (cities). The plural suffix shows the quantity of objects. Personal (predicative) suffix is a suffix that connects the subject and the predicate in a sentence and shows to whom the action belongs. It is used in three persons: 1st person (I, we) - -myn, -min, -myz, -miz; 2nd person (you) - -syn, -sin, -syndar; 3rd person (he, they) - usually has no special ending or uses a zero form. For example: I am a student. You are a student. He is a student.
