On October 12, 2020, the Department of Support for Compatriots of the Otandastar Foundation held an online meeting "Forum Kandastar" with the participation of ethnic Kazakhs living in the Russian Federation.

In his speech, Kalybek Koblandin, Adviser to the President of NJSC Otanadastar Fund, spoke about measures to support educational, cultural and business initiatives of the Otandastar Fund.

During the meeting, the head of the department for work with the Kazakh diaspora of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Karibay, Zhalgas Balgozhin from the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan spoke about the work done and achievements in developing trade and economic relations with Russia.

The representative of JSC NC "KazInvest" Daniyar Aitkulov presented the ways to attract investments in the sphere of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as the investment potential of Kazakhstan.

In turn, our compatriots living in Russia spoke about the negative impact of the global pandemic on socio-economic conditions. He also expressed a desire to open the cultural and business house "Abai", which recently opened in Omsk, and in other cities of Russia. The meeting was attended by about 30 compatriots from 10 regions of Russia.
