The NJSC "Otandastar Qory" hosted a meeting with Elmira Suleimankyzy, Project Coordinator of the "Media Development Foundation" Corporate Fund and author of the "Kazakh Speaking Club" project.
During the meeting, the parties discussed joint initiatives within the framework of their memorandum and future plans. Specifically, they touchexd upon reintroducing a special nomination for foreign Kazakh-language media in the national "Urker" and "Tumar" media awards, producing joint content about Kazakh-speaking journalists abroad, and the possibility of allocating quotas for kandas (ethnic Kazakh) students in the Euronews Academy program.
Furthermore, issues were addressed regarding support for kandas students studying Journalism and PR in Kazakhstan to undergo internships in domestic media outlets, as well as organizing offline and online professional development courses based at universities.
In addition, plans were outlined to promote foreign and domestic media representatives through the "Media Alem" project, invite foreign Kazakh-language media professionals to Kazakhstan for exchange-of-experience courses within Astana Media Week, establish partnerships with Kazakh language learning startups, and jointly develop the "Kazakh Speaking Club" project online.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue systematic cooperation in the fields of media, education, and language development.
