On April 4, 2025, in Seoul President of “Otandastar Foundation” NJSC Daniyar Kadyrov met with Mr. Kim Yoo-kyung, Vice President of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
During the meeting, the parties discussed joint projects aimed at strengthening cultural ties. Daniyar Kadyrov provided information about the projects implemented by the Foundation and raised issues related to further development of cooperation with Kazakh communities abroad.
In addition, the meeting covered in detail the upcoming 2nd Mini Kurultai of Kazakhs of Southeast Asian countries, scheduled for April 5–6. This Kurultai serves as an important platform for addressing the pressing issues of the Kazakh diaspora abroad.
During the meeting, Daniyar Kadyrov presented the university representatives with traditional Kazakh gifts, including the dombra and the Orteke instrument, both recognized by UNESCO as cultural heritage, as well as the painting “Shanyraq,” which reflects Kazakh culture. These gifts aim to promote Kazakhstan’s rich cultural heritage and strengthen bilateral friendship.
Vice President of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies Mr. Kim Yoo-kyung expressed interest in studying the Kazakh language and culture and confirmed the university’s readiness to strengthen cooperation.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to expand cultural and humanitarian ties, promote Kazakh culture, and enhance cooperation in implementing joint projects with representatives of the Kazakh diaspora.
