Volunteer Association

The Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, emphasized that "volunteering is not just a free job; it is an indicator of the responsibility of today's generation and their readiness to change the world for the better". Therefore, the role of volunteers in the development of society is significant.

In August 2023, the "Association of Volunteers" was established under the NAO "Otandastar Foundation."

Currently, the Association has more than 50 members from countries such as Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, and Turkey.

The main purpose of the association is to promote the development of the volunteer movement among compatriots abroad and unite them in a common direction. To become a member of the Association, one must have volunteering experience and demonstrate some success in this field.

Earlier, on May 20-21, 2023, Astana hosted the "International Forum of Volunteers." The forum was attended by 200 active young people from 30 countries, along with more than 40 speakers and representatives from 10 international organizations, including those invited by the Foundation of Compatriots from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia.

In summary, the idea of creating the Association was put forward by Abzal Saparbekovich, the President of the Otandastar Foundation, during a meeting with participants of the forum. Currently, among the youth who are members of the organization, a leader is appointed in each region, and proposals for the implementation of volunteer initiatives are being developed for the future.
