Bright victories of Kazakhstani athletes last week

Boxing: At the international boxing tournament “The Great Silk Road” in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, the Kazakhstan team won 3 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze medals. Talgat Syrymbetov (60 kg), Darkhan Duisebay (71 kg), Sagyndyk Togambay (92 kg) became the winners of the championship, silver went to Temirtas Zhusupov (48 kg) and Timur Kabdesh (54 kg), Bakhtiyar Smagulov ( 67 kg) and Bekzat Tanatar (86 kg).

Judo: At the Grand Slam judo tournament, held in Antalya (Turkey), our compatriot Abiba Abuzhakynova (-48 kg) became the bronze medalist. The Kazakh judoka defeated Sabina Gilyazova in the golden speed on her way to the prize. Due to the opponent receiving 3 warnings (shido), the victory went to Abiba.

Chess: 2-time world blitz chess champion Bibisara Asaubaeva won the Swiss Queens Wednesday online tournament. The leader of the national team scored 10.5 points in 11 rounds, 2 points ahead of his closest pursuer.

Tennis: Kazakhstani tennis player Alexander Nedovesov became the champion in the doubles of the Challenger tournament, organized in Girona, Spain. Gonzalo Escobar from Ecuador performed at the tournament together with our compatriot. In the final they defeated the French couple Jonathan Eisseric and Albano Olivetti 7:6 (7:1), 6:4.

Table tennis: Kazakhstani athletes showed excellent results at the international table tennis tournament WTT Feeder Beirut in Lebanon. Alan Kurmangaliev became the best in the competition between the ages of 19 and 17, and Kirill Gerasimenko won a silver medal.The pair Arnur Oralkhanov and Zhanerke Koshkimbaeva also won bronze medals. Nurislam Kasym, Nurdaulet Azamatoly and Zhanerke Koshkimbaeva also completed the top three.

Cycling: The international mountain bike tournament SERBIA EPIC ŠKODA POŽAREVAC XCO was held in the Serbian city of Požarevac. The Kazakhstani gymnast won the third medal at the Grand Prix stage, which takes place in the French city of Thieu. In the final of the ribbon exercises, she became a silver medalist (31.4 points). Previously, our compatriot won silver in the hoop exercise and bronze in the ball final.
