Kazakh Airlines Prohibited from Using Airspace of Six Countries

24 June 2025

Effective June 13, due to the escalation of tensions in the Middle East and the heightened threat to the safety of civil aviation, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan has imposed a ban on Kazakh air carriers from using the airspace of six countries: Iran, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.

As a result, airlines operating passenger flights to the Middle East will reroute their flights to avoid flying over the territories of these countries.
