Madrid, 29 October 2026. As part of the fan evening (pre-party) held ahead of Dimash Kudaibergen’s Madrid concert on his DIMENSIONS world tour, the Otandastar Qory NJSC organised an exhibition of the international creative contest “Kazakhstan Through My Eyes”. The exhibition featured hand-made drawings by Kazakh children living abroad, including in Japan, the Netherlands, the UAE, Georgia, Qatar, Russia, Mongolia, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Around 500 people attended the event.
The pre-party brought together Dimash fans who had travelled to the Spanish capital from all over the world, leaders of Kazakh diaspora communities from some 20 European countries, and compatriots living in Spain. Among the guests of honour were Danat Mussayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Spain, and members of the Embassy staff.
The exhibition was organised by the Otandastar QoryNJSC jointly with the Kazakh Cultural Centre in Madrid. In the works submitted to the “Kazakhstan Through My Eyes” contest, Kazakh children growing up abroad portrayed their historical homeland – its nature, traditions and culture – as they themselves see it. For fans and international guests, the drawings offered a chance to discover Kazakhstan from a new perspective.
The exhibition aims to promote Kazakhstan’s culture, national art, traditions and historical and cultural heritage internationally, as well as to strengthen cooperation among Kazakh cultural centres abroad. During the evening, a video presentation introduced the Foundation’s main areas of activity and the Abai Institute’s portal for learning the Kazakh language.
The drawing exhibition was part of a rich cultural programme that brought together Kazakh traditions, Spanish art and the work of Dimash. The evening opened with the kuis “Balbyrauyn” and “Er-Turan” performed by young dombra players Alinur and Alikhan Amangeldy.
Artists from the El Boti flamenco school in Seville presented a flamenco performance set to the Kazakh folk song “AQERKE”. Artists of the Naz State Dance Theatre performed the dances “Shashu”, “Kalyndyk Bii”, “Akku”, “Sherniyaz” and “Samgau”. Designer Tarbie Aidymbayeva presented a collection of national clothing by the TARBIYA brand.
As part of the children’s programme, a representative of the Association of Turkic-Speaking Teachers presented the fairy-tale book “Shakhmatshy Konzhyk” (“The Chess-Playing Bear Cub”), published under the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan’s “Tatti Ertegi” project, as well as the Tildes KZ conversation club.
In the musical part of the evening, Jonhy Calleja, Zhanel Ali, Viryam Amor Ondas and Rachel Rustria performed songs from Dimash’s repertoire, including “Unforgettable Day”, “Tau Ishinde”, “Ave Maria” and “SOS”. Fans also prepared a special dance number to “Living for the Game”. At the close of the evening, participants received commemorative gifts.
