On March 25–26, 2026, the Musical Drama Theater of the Bayan-Ulgii Province hosted a large-scale educational exhibition titled "Kazakhstani Education Days". The event was organized by the Otandastar Qory (under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan) in collaboration with the local administration (Akimat).
The primary goal of the two-day exhibition was to introduce ethnic Kazakh youth living abroad to Kazakhstan’s higher education system and provide detailed guidance on admission procedures and scholarship opportunities.
This year’s exhibition featured representatives from more than 10 leading Kazakhstani universities, including:
– L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University;
– Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University;
– Astana IT University;
– Astana International University;
– Esil University;
– M. Tynyshpayev ALT University;
– Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University;
– I. Altynsarin Arkalyk Pedagogical University;
– A. Saginov Karaganda Technical University;
– Bolashaq Academy.
The Governor of Bayan-Ulgii Province, Zangar Esentaiuly, attended the opening ceremony and emphasized the importance of building a "golden bridge" between the two nations through education and culture:
"This exhibition is a tremendous opportunity for our youth. It is a vital step toward receiving a high-quality education and strengthening ties with their ancestral homeland," stated the Governor.
Talgat Kenzhekhanuly, Education Specialist at the Otandastar Qory noted in his speech that this event has become a traditional fixture. He highlighted the growing number of young people each year seeking information regarding government grants, benefits, and support systems available for students in Kazakhstan.
