On February 24, 2026, the presentation of the book "The Travels of Marco Polo" (1559) was held at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The first-ever translation of this book into the Kazakh language was completed by Raima Aueskhan, a researcher and translator from Bayan-Olgii. This historical work, which has reached readers worldwide for centuries, is now available in the Kazakh language.

The event was attended by representatives from Ca' Foscari University of Venice, Alibek Zhurkadam, Vice President of the "Otandastar Qory" NJSC, representatives from Nazarbayev University, as well as faculty members and researchers from ENU.

This project strengthens cultural and humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Italy, providing a boost to the development of international scientific cooperation. This work, which converges history and civilizations, opens doors to fresh insights and new perspectives for the Kazakh reader.
