The "Otandastar Qory" NJSC and the International Organization for Migration signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Astana.
The Memorandum was signed by Daniyar Kadyrov, President of the "Otandastar Qory" NJSC, and Serhan Aktoprak, IOM Chief of Mission in Kazakhstan and Head of the Office with Coordinating Functions for Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
The Memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation with ethnic Kazakhs living abroad, former compatriots, and citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, promote the exchange of experience in the field of migration, and support the effective integration of the diaspora into Kazakhstan’s long-term development goals.
Under the agreement, the parties plan to develop programs to enhance economic, cultural, humanitarian, and social ties with compatriots abroad, provide information and advisory support on migration legislation, including resettlement to the historical and ethnic homeland.
The Memorandum also provides for joint cultural, educational, and scientific initiatives, the exchange of migration data, joint research, the expansion of awareness-raising campaigns and advisory services for migrants and the diaspora, as well as the coordination of projects with international organizations.
The signed Memorandum reflects the shared commitment of the parties to strengthening social cohesion, expanding economic opportunities, and engaging compatriots living abroad in Kazakhstan’s long-term development process.
