On January 31, 2026, the 4th International "Otandastar Cup" basketball tournament was held. The event was initiated by the "Otandastar Foundation" (NJSC) and the "Jastar.mn" student organization of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, with the official support of the "Astana" Professional Basketball Club.

Nine teams of kandas students  participated in this traditional sporting event, showcasing an intense and competitive performance.

Tournament Results:

-1st Place – "Nomad" team

- 2nd Place – "Bokentau" team

- 3rd Place – "KHOVD" team

Now in its fourth year, the tournament has become a significant platform for strengthening unity and fostering friendships among ethnic Kazakh youth studying in Kazakhstan through sports. The "Otandastar Cup" will continue to serve as a traditional sporting project that unites young people at an international level.
