On 21 November, the “Forum of Kazakh Scientists Abroad” was held at Nazarbayev University in Astana, organized by the “Otandastar Foundation” NJSC. The event became an important international scientific platform, bringing together more than 40 foreign researchers and about 100 scientists and experts from leading universities and research institutions of Kazakhstan.
A distinctive feature of the forum was the participation of Kazakhstani researchers working abroad who have gained valuable experience in the international scientific community and are ready to contribute their knowledge to the scientific and innovative development of Kazakhstan. Participants presented concrete proposals for joint research, implementation of international projects, and aligning the national scientific ecosystem with global standards.
Approximately 40 scientific reports were presented during the forum. Participants shared innovative projects in key areas such as medicine, biotechnology, aerospace engineering, artificial intelligence, digital security, urban infrastructure, and ecology.
According to the organizers, the forum provided a platform for establishing direct connections between foreign and domestic scientists, creating opportunities for launching new partnership projects. This enables not only the introduction of advanced scientific practices to Kazakhstan but also the inclusion of local researchers in international collaborations.
As reported by the TV channel 24.kz, all scientific projects and initiatives presented at the event will be compiled into a special collection that will be published as a separate book. In addition, these proposals will be submitted to the relevant government agencies and will serve as an expert basis for decision-making at the national level.
