On February 1, as part of "Digital Almaty," an important Memorandum of Understanding was signed, opening new opportunities for the development of research and innovation in robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) in Kazakhstan.

The document was signed by leading technology representatives, including the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the international robotics leader Shanghai Zhiyuan Innovation Technology Co. Ltd, Satbayev University, KBTU, IITU, and ALT University.

The main goal of the agreement is to establish a robotics research center in Kazakhstan, which will focus on the implementation of advanced technologies, the training of highly qualified specialists, and the commercialization of innovative solutions.

This step is a significant milestone in strengthening Kazakhstan's position as a regional hub for artificial intelligence and robotics. In the future, the center will contribute to the development of new startups, the enhancement of scientific research, and the support of innovative projects that will help the country successfully integrate into global technological processes.

Participants emphasized that the memorandum represents an essential contribution to the development of the national high-tech ecosystem and the strengthening of international partnerships in the fields of science and education.
