From May 27 to 30, 2025, the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) took part in the prestigious international education exhibition NAFSA 2025: Association of International Educators, held in San Diego, USA. Representing the university at the world’s largest higher education conference and exhibition were Mr. E. Komekbayev, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation; Ms. A. Moldakhmetova, Head of the Department of Research Projects; and Ms. A. Ospanova, Head of the Department of Regional Studies.
During the exhibition, ENU presented its scientific achievements, academic programs, digitalization initiatives, and international partnership projects. The university’s representatives held discussions with their counterparts from the United States, Europe, and Asia on the implementation of joint degree programs, academic mobility, and collaborative research projects.
ENU initiated talks on potential areas of cooperation with the following institutions: Columbia University (USA), SKEMA Business School (USA), Iowa State University of Science and Technology (USA), California State University (USA), San Diego State University (USA), Louisiana State University (USA), Lehigh University (USA), Boston University (USA), University of California, Berkeley (USA), Clark University (USA), University of Western Australia (Australia), National University of Technology (Peru), University of Dubrovnik (Croatia), Kanagawa University (Japan), University of Deusto (Spain), Korea University (South Korea), Biruni University (Turkey), University College Birmingham (United Kingdom), AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland), Georgian Technical University (Georgia), and the University of Macau (China), among others.
The Kazakh delegation emphasized that participation in NAFSA 2025 opens up new horizons for international collaboration and reaffirms ENU’s status as one of Central Asia’s leading universities, committed to integrating into the global educational landscape.
ENU regularly participates in other major international exhibitions such as the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE), the European Association for International Education (EAIE), and the Eurasia Higher Education Summit (EURIE). Through these platforms, the university establishes new partnerships, showcases its educational and scientific advancements, and positions itself as a top-tier international institution with a strong presence in the global academic community.
