On the sidelines of the Astana International Forum (AIF), the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) signed a financing agreement for the Eurasia Competitiveness Programme. This marks a new chapter in strengthening the economic potential of Kazakhstan and the broader Central Asian region.

The agreement formalizes a partnership aimed at providing expert support and developing effective economic reforms. The Eurasia Competitiveness Programme will serve as a catalyst for the adoption of OECD standards, improvement of the legal and institutional framework, and enhancement of regional competitiveness.

Andreas Schaal, OECD Director for Global Relations and Cooperation, expressed gratitude to Kazakhstan for its significant contribution to the programme's implementation.

"We highly value Kazakhstan’s commitment to promoting global best practices and building a sustainable economic environment in the Eurasian region," he noted.

During the Astana International Forum’s panel session "Building Economic Resilience," OECD experts highlighted Kazakhstan’s progress in public administration reform, digitalization, and the implementation of innovative technologies. These achievements are reflected in the country’s strong performance in international rankings, reinforcing its reputation as a regional leader.
