Woosong University in Kazakhstan (WSUK) is pleased to announce that applications for the Fall 2025 semester are now open. The first international branch of Woosong University, located in Turkistan, is scheduled to commence operations in September this year. The project has been made possible through collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the Turkistan Region.

WSUK is focused on training qualified specialists in the field of information technology for the Central Asian region. The university provides students and young professionals in Kazakhstan with access to high-quality IT education, with a strong emphasis on artificial intelligence and data science. Upon completion of the two-year program, students will have the opportunity to continue their studies either at Woosong University in South Korea or at one of more than 630 partner universities around the world.

What will the new campus offer?

The new campus will feature English-language programs, including:

✔ Artificial Intelligence and Data Science
✔ Software Development
✔ Cybersecurity
✔ Multimedia and Web Design

Graduates of the program will also be eligible to work in South Korea under special visa programs.

Minimum Admission Requirements:

1. English Language Proficiency: Minimum overall score of 5.0 on the IELTS or an equivalent score on other recognized tests:
   a) Accepted equivalents: IELTS, TOEFL iBT, Oxford Test, CEFR, Duolingo, Tips, PTE Academic, TOEIC
   b) Applicants scoring below the IELTS 5.0 equivalent: If the English section score on the Unified National Testing (UNT) exceeds 65% (based on 100 points), it may be considered equivalent to IELTS 5.0.
   c) Applicants scoring in the top 15% on the UNT will be exempt from submitting an English proficiency test score.

3. High school graduate

4. UNT results (minimum 50 points), not applicable to students from outside Kazakhstan.
   a) Applicants with an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher are exempt from the UNT requirement.
