The Abylkhan Kasteev State Museum of Art opened the International Exhibition-Symposium ‘Turan Taulary’.
The exhibition presents more than 80 works by artists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Russia.
Work on the works of the international symposium began in 2024 at three geographically diverse venues. The symposium lasted several months and included three stages. The first phase took place in Kyrgyzstan, where the artists drew inspiration from the picturesque landscapes of Issyk-Kul. The second stage took place in Kazakhstan, in the Tien Shan Mountains, among majestic mountains and steppes. The final stage was organised in the historic Central Asian cities of Samarkand, Bukhara and Tashkent, which inspired the participants with their rich cultural heritage.
This international project was a tribute to the masters of brush painting Abylkhan Kasteev and Oral Tansykbaev, whose works are deeply connected with the art and history of Central Asia, as well as an important step towards preserving, developing and popularising the art and culture of our country.
The exhibition will last until 23 January 2025.
