The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan has drafted amendments to the "List of Individuals Exempt from the Requirement to Obtain Permits from Local Executive Authorities for the Employment of Foreign Labour." The draft has been published on the Open NLA (Normative Legal Acts) portal for public discussion until June 2 of this year.
The proposed amendments are intended to clarify the number of foreign nationals who may be employed by a single organization without requiring a permit from local executive authorities. Under the revised provisions, Kazakhstani legal entities with 100% foreign ownership will be permitted to hire, outside of the established quota, only one chief executive and no more than one deputy executive.
