Royal Jordanian to Launch Direct Flights to Kazakhstan

The Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Talgat Lastayev, held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Kazakhstan, Mr. Hamzeh Alomari.

 

Earlier, following the visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in February of this year, the Jordanian side expressed its intention to initiate flights to Kazakhstan.

In this regard, the parties discussed the possibility of signing an Air Services Agreement and considered the opening of direct flights between the two countries. Mr. Hamzah Al-Omari also informed that Royal Jordanian Airlines plans to launch direct flights to Kazakhstan starting in June 2026, with a frequency of two flights per week. In response, the Kazakh side confirmed its readiness to provide the necessary support for the launch of the flights within the framework of existing agreements.

The parties also agreed on the timeline for signing the Agreement on the Mutual Recognition of Seafarers’ Certificates between the two countries.
