On 11 January at the Shymbulak ski resort in Almaty, the Junior World Championships in freestyle (mogul, acrobatics) ended.
The national freestyle team in the discipline of mogul won medals every competition day. On the first day, Anastasia Gorodko took the 2nd place in the individual event. The next day she won the gold medal in parallel mogul. In the mixed team event the pair Yulia Fiklistova and Denis Rastruba, participants of the IV Winter Youth Olympic Games, won silver.
In the freestyle acrobatics discipline, the individual competition brought a historic result for the country. Dinmuhammed Raiymkul completed a difficult programme and became the men's world champion. He scored 104.52 points, beating two Chinese athletes (Yu Yonghen and Yang Zhicheng). In the women's competition, all medals were won by Chinese athletes.
In team events on the final day of the World Championships, the Kazakhstan-2 team (Adelina Omirzakova, Roman Pogosyan, Ulanbakir Omirzakov) took 6th place, and the Kazakhstan-1 team (Dinmuhammed Rayymkul, Ardana Makhanova, Asylkhan Asan) finished in 7th position. In the ceremony of awarding the team competition winners, the Chairman of the Committee on Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports Ruslan Esenalin attended.
In the overall standings, Kazakhstan's national team in mogul and acrobatics won 2 gold and 2 silver medals, taking 2nd place after the Chinese team (2 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze). The Japanese team (2 gold, 1 bronze) rounded out the top three.
