New Air Routes from Kazakhstan to Ten Countries to Be Launched

The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is continuously working to expand the network of international air routes. Beginning in May of this year, new international routes from Kazakhstan are scheduled to launch to ten countries: Hungary, Germany, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, South Korea, and Vietnam.

SCAT Airlines plans to open the following new international routes from Shymkent Airport in May:

From May 27:

  • Shymkent – Budapest (Hungary), 2 flights per week;

  • Shymkent – Munich (Germany), 2 flights per week;

From May 29:

  • Shymkent – Shanghai (China), 2 flights per week;

  • Shymkent – Seoul (South Korea), 2 flights per week.

Air Astana also plans to launch several new international routes:

  • From May 14: Astana – Da Nang (Vietnam), 2 flights per week;

  • From May 27: Atyrau – Tbilisi (Georgia), 3 flights per week;

  • From May 28: Almaty – Osh (Kyrgyzstan), 4 flights per week;

  • From May 31: Atyrau – Baku (Azerbaijan), 3 flights per week.

Fly Arystan plans to introduce the following new routes this year:

From May 18:

  • Almaty – Kulja (China), 2 flights per week;

From May 28:

  • Astana – Gazipaşa (Turkey), 2 flights per week.

Uzbek airline My Freighter (operating as Centrum Air) launched a new route on May 5:

  • Almaty – Tashkent (Uzbekistan), with a frequency of 2 flights per week.

Additionally, starting from May 13, Azerbaijan Airlines plans to increase the frequency of flights on the Astana – Baku (Azerbaijan) route from 3 to 4 times per week.
