The number of museum visitors has increased. Last year museums were visited by 6 million people. This was reported by the Chairman of the Committee on Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the RK Kumys Seyitova.

"There are more than 270 state museums in the country. They contribute to the worthy realisation of the Head of State's assignment.... Last year, museum attendance across the country was about 6 million people. We know that this is a symbol of the growing interest in the cultural values of our country," he said at the First Congress of Museum Workers, which is being held in the capital.
