The opening ceremony of the exhibition "Prosperous World in the Name of Partnership: Cooperation within the framework of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative was held in the Forbidden City (Gugong) Palace Complex.
The exhibition presented unique cultural artefacts of Kazakhstan, as well as items and elements of clothing of the "Golden Man" found during the excavation of the tomb, brought to Beijing by the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Issyk", which will acquaint the Chinese society with the ancient history, culture, lifestyle and way of life of the peoples who inhabited the territory of our country.
At the exhibition ancient cultural heritage of the peoples inhabiting the territory of Kazakhstan, as well as gold objects found in the tomb of a Sak warrior (V-IV centuries BC) were presented.
The exhibition dedicated to the 10th anniversary of China's "One Belt, One Road" initiative will be held from 28 September 2023 to 5 January 2024 at the Forbidden City Museum in Beijing. Along with Kazakhstan's exhibits, ancient artefacts from Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates are also presented.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, N. Akkoshkarov, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in China, noted the main achievements of Kazakh-Chinese archaeological research and presented to the public the history of Saka burials and artefacts found in Issyk.
Hu Heping, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, Wang Xudong, Director of the Forbidden City Palace Complex, Liu Yuzhu, Director of the Chinese Cultural Heritage Foundation, S. Mirziyoyev, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan, as well as artists and the mass media representatives took part in the solemn event.
