President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Jomart Tokayev presented Dimash Kudaibergen with a dog of Kazakh tazy breed.
"Friends, meet, this is my new friend. This miracle of nature, that is a tazy puppy, was given to me by Kasym-Zhomart Kemelevich. Tazy is the value of our nation, one of the "seven treasures" inherited from our ancestors. It is glad that nowadays in Kazakhstan great attention is paid to preservation and international recognition of this breed of dogs. Because this breed is characterised by its characteristic beauty, restraint and, according to my observations, it is very intelligent," the singer wrote on his Instagram page.
He also expressed gratitude to the Head of State for such a gift.
"Our ancestors honoured and loved the tazy (greyhound). This dog could freely enter the yurt, which meant it was clean. The name "tazy" comes from Persian and means "fast, "agile". Thank you to our President for such a priceless gift! We named the greyhound Ғaryshker ('cosmonaut')," Dimash Kudaibergen added.
