Minister of Justice of Kazakhstan Azamat Eskaraev reported on the ongoing work on giving Almaty aport the status of a national brand, reports a correspondent of Kazinform agency.

- On aport I can say with a certain sense of joy that we have registered a geographical indication for Kazakhstan, that aport - it is Almaty, that it is Kazakhstani, geographically indicate that it is a Kazakhstani brand, we have already secured it for Kazakhstan, - Azamat Yeskaraev said on the sidelines of the Government.

According to him, it happened on 13 October 2023.

- Now we are working to make aport an international brand. For this purpose, the relevant association is engaged in submitting materials to France, Poland, such developed countries to export our local apples there, - added the Minister.
