Active development of information technologies in the regions of Kazakhstan is confirmed by numerous events covering a wide range of the IT sphere. Notable among them are hackathons, Olympiads, Pizza Pitch and forums, which are successfully organised in various regions of the country.

Regional IT hubs also actively promote educational and incubation projects such as No Code/Low Code courses, Freelance School, Startup Academy, Beta Career. These programmes have gained wide recognition among schoolchildren and students.

Astana Hub, together with Digital Nomads, organises monthly free online webinars for schoolchildren and students, with the participation of leading IT specialists from all over the world. These events are aimed at expanding the knowledge and skills of participants in the field of information technologies.

Partnership with Google Developers Group (GDG) has become an important stage in the development of the IT sphere in the regions of Kazakhstan. Co-operation with GDG provides access to advanced technologies and practices, and facilitates the exchange of experience between regional IT hubs and global development leaders.

To date, international IT forums with the participation of guest speakers from Google and BNB Chain have been successfully held in 5 regions of the country. The forums in Taraz, Kyzylorda, Petropavlovsk, Turkestan and Semey attracted the attention of not only local IT specialists, but also representatives of innovative startups working on unique projects.

The forum in Semey, which gathered more than 1,500 participants and leading IT industry professionals, stands out for its diversity and high level of organisation. The division into zones, including startups, IT companies and STEAM school projects, provided participants with a unique opportunity to interact and share experience. The awarding of valuable gifts to the winners gave the event additional significance.

Thus, active events and partnerships aimed at supporting regional IT initiatives not only contribute to the steady growth of interest in information technology among young people, but also represent an important mechanism for creating a favourable environment for the development of this sphere.
