From 10 to 13 January the Astana Ballet Theatre will stage a New Year's fairy tale "The Snow Queen". The production with interesting directorial and artistic solutions with choreography by Georgy Kovtun to music by Radik Salimov is intended for family viewing.

The premiere took place in December 2022 and is a great success every year, drawing full audiences.

The ballet, which captivated the audience with its plot, choreography and large-scale scenery, will be accompanied by the theatre's symphony orchestra under the direction of maestro Elmar Buribayev.

"An abundance of mass scenes, a mixture of different styles of dance vocabulary, a large number of moving and playing in the course of action rigid scenery and props - these staging techniques are present in the ballet "The Snow Queen". The production was indeed large-scale - we needed more than 200 costumes and eight set changes. In addition, it involves almost the entire company of the theatre and young students of the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography", - said the artistic director of the theatre Nurlan Kanetov.

On different days the main roles will be performed by artists of Astana Ballet Theatre Sundet Sultanov, Nazerke Aimukhametova, Erkanat Ermagambet, Anara Dukieva, Riza Kanatkyzy.
