Astana, 22 January 2025 - On the initiative of the Russian side, Murat Nurtleu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan had a telephone conversation with Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

The Ministers summarised the results of bilateral cooperation in 2024 with a focus on the timely implementation of the instructions of the Heads of State, as well as checked the schedule of upcoming events at the highest evel.

The parties highly appreciated the dynamics of the development of Kazakh-Russian relations and discussed plans to strengthen strategic partnerships in various spheres.

The sides also exchanged views on topical issues of the international agenda and cooperation in a multilateral format.
