Kazakhstani citizens in South Korea will be given the opportunity to work legally

Representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - MLSPP) and the Ministry of Labour and Employment of the Republic of Korea held negotiations in the online format, during which they discussed the issue of Kazakhstan's inclusion in the South Korean Employment Permit System (hereinafter - EPS). This will allow Kazakhstani citizens to be legally employed in South Korea, as well as provide them with equal working conditions and protection of their rights.

The meeting was attended by Askarbek Ertaev, Chairman of the Committee on Migration of the MLSPC, Saadat Asanseitova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Integration of the MLSPP, and Myung Sung Hong, Deputy Director of the Foreign Labour Office of the Ministry of Labour and Employment of the Republic of Korea.

Askarbek Ertaev informed the participants of the meeting about the ongoing work on opening a Korean training centre within the framework of the EPS system.

Having discussed the possibility of opening an EPS centre in Kazakhstan, the parties expressed readiness for fruitful and constructive interaction, as well as to expand bilateral cooperation in the framework of labour migration.
