The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population of the RK introduced amendments to the Rules for granting or extending the status of kandas.
Thus, according to the amendments, the Commission shall, within 10 working days after the day of receipt of the application, consider it and make a recommendation to refuse or grant the status of kandas:
Recommendation on granting or refusal to grant the status of kandas is adopted by the Commission and formalised in a protocol.
In order to extend the status of kandas, in order to obtain citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in a simplified procedure, applicants who have received a permanent residence permit in Kazakhstan, submit an application to the MIO or the State Corporation to extend the previously assigned status of kandas.
Acceptance of the application and issuance of the result of rendering the state service on granting the status of kandas are carried out by local executive bodies, through foreign offices of the Republic of Kazakhstan (for ethnic Kazakhs residing outside the Republic of Kazakhstan), as well as the web portal of "e-government".
Acceptance of the application and issuance of the result of rendering the state service on prolongation of the status of kandas is carried out by the State Corporation.
The state service on granting the status of kandas is rendered within 35 working days, and on prolongation of the status of kandas - within 5 working days.
The Order shall come into effect on 19 January 2024.
