17 January, 2024

The remains of Kadirbek Dauletkulov, a participant of the Great Patriotic War, were delivered by the Atamnyn Amanaty public association to Zhambyl region for burial at home. A special flight for this purpose was carried out by a military transport aircraft of the Air Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.

The solemn ceremony of welcoming the remains of the Kazakh warrior was organised in the military sector of the airfield of Taraz city in accordance with military rituals, accompanied by a march performed by a miliatary band.

The event was attended by representatives of the Department of Defence Affairs of Zhambyl region, troops of the regional command "South" and veterans' organisations.

The remains of the soldier Kadirbek Dauletkulov, a native of Zhambyl region, were raised in November 2023 by the Russian search team "Zastava St. Ilya Muromets". They were able to identify him according to the data of the medallion insert.

- Most of the military information about Kadirbek Dauletkulov is classified because he served in the Soviet army as a border guard," said Abubakir Smailov of the public association Atamnyn Amanaty. - It is only known that he was born in 1920, came from Zhambyl region, and died in the summer of 1943 in the bloody battles on the Kursk Bulge.

As the representatives of the public association found out, Kadirbek Dauletkulov was not married.  But they managed to find relatives of the dead Kazakhstani soldier - descendants of his brother, who live in Zhambyl region. The remains of the soldier, as well as his medallion, helmet, sapper shovel and a soldier's mug were handed over to them for further burial at his small homeland in Turar Ryskulov district.

The ritual of handing over the remains continued in the hall of military glory "Danq", located in the city park Zheinis. The last honours to the warrior from Kazakhstan were paid by servicemen of the southern region and soldiers of the company of guard of honour. Relatives of Kadirbek Dauletkulov expressed words of gratitude to the organisers of the event.

- By the beginning of the war, our relative Kadirbek Dauletkulov was only 21 years old and had no time to get married," said Orazkul Dauletkulova, the warrior's niece.  - But we knew about our uncle from older relatives who unsuccessfully searched for any information about him. And now, 80 years later, when his parents are no longer alive, the remains of our relative have returned to his homeland. We are grateful to the search organisations, as well as to our military personnel from Kazakhstan, who delivered the remains of Kadirbek Dauletkulov to Zhambyl region.

Since 2019, the Atamnyn Amanaty public association has been engaged in the systematic search and burial of Kazakhstani soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War. Together with the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan, the public association delivered the remains of 19 soldiers to their homeland and organised their reburial.
