Kazakhstan took the leading position in terms of net inflow of foreign direct investment among 15 countries of the post-Soviet space and Central Asia with a share of 61%.

The inflow of investments into Kazakhstan is strategically important. Many measures are being taken to support the investment attractiveness of the Republic. For example, on 5 December 2023, the head of state Kasym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree "On measures to improve the effectiveness of work to attract investment in the country's economy". In this decree, the President endowed the Council for Attracting Investments with certain powers.  

Also, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov urged foreign companies to actively invest in the economy of the republic. The Prime Minister noted that despite the current global challenges, Kazakhstan's economy is growing steadily.
