Today, the Chairman of the Culture Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kumis Seitova met with Jiang Peng, Cultural Advisor to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Kazakhstan.

During the meeting the parties discussed issues related to the opening of the Kazakh cultural centre in Beijing and the Chinese cultural centre in Astana. 

Kumis Seitova said that the concept of the centre in the PRC Ministry has already been developed.

It is assumed that the main areas of its activities will be museums, cinematography and animation, performing and visual arts. It is also planned to open a library and a corner of tourism of Kazakhstan in the centre.

Let's remind, in 2022 the Heads of two states came to an agreement on creation on a parity basis of cultural centres in China and Kazakhstan. Their opening will give an additional impetus to exchange and cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
