The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov met with the Chairman of the Board of the Israeli investment company Dan Capital Shimon Ben Hamo.

The parties discussed the implementation of joint projects on the construction and reconstruction of hydraulic structures in Kazakhstan. To date, Israeli engineers have inspected 4 reservoirs and given recommendations on their reconstruction.

Separately, the parties discussed the reconstruction and increase in the volume of the Yntalinskoye reservoir in the Zhambyl region. The Minister also proposed to upgrade irrigation canals in the Sarysu district with the implementation of modern water-saving technologies.

Israeli investors expressed willingness to implement the project together with Kazakh companies. Also, the foreign delegation offered to organise advanced training courses for Kazvodkhoz specialists in Israel.

‘Further discussions will continue within the framework of the joint working group. Experts from both sides will consider the technical component of the project. Also, the working group will determine the direction and topics of advanced training courses for our specialists’, - said the Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov.
