Today in Petropavlovsk a large-scale International Investment and Construction Forum Qyzyljar Investment Forum - 2024 took place, which was attended by representatives of national companies, financial institutions, business associations, domestic and foreign enterprises.

Today, industry accounts for about 15 percent of the regional economy. North Kazakhstan enterprises produce products for the oil and gas and energy industries, electrical products, and agricultural machinery.

The volume of industrial production in the region last year amounted to 647.6 billion tenge, of which 84 percent was the manufacturing industry. The locomotive of economic development in North Kazakhstan is agriculture.The region occupies one of the leading positions in the country. The share of gross agricultural output in the total production of the republic is more than 10 percent. Today, work is actively underway to diversify the agricultural sector by creating the “Dairy Belt of the country.” Every second dairy farm in Kazakhstan is built in the north.

Meanwhile, work on the transition to an industrial-agrarian economy continues actively. Over the past 3 years, 15 new companies with foreign participation have come to the region.

An additional motivation for investors is the Qyzyljar Special Economic Zone.This is the youngest SEZ in the country, on the territory of which 4 companies successfully operate and produce their products: the German concern for the assembly of agricultural machinery Claas, the Petropavlovsk Electrical Engineering Plant, the Kaztechmash Machine-Building Plant, and the production of trailed and mounted equipment Reimann.

At the same time, another 16 SEZ participants began implementing their projects with the creation of over 3 thousand new permanent jobs. All this indicates the high investment attractiveness of North Kazakhstan.

Special attention at Qyzyljar Investment Forum - 2024 was paid to the construction sector. Since 2021, the volume of construction work has increased by 67 percent. The General Plan was approved, the detailed layout of the regional center was determined. The region is ready to accept investors for the construction of modern commercial housing and the construction of social facilities.

As a result of the forum, agreements were reached with a number of companies. We concluded 14 memoranda of cooperation for a total investment of more than 128 billion tenge.
