The Minister of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan, Kanat Sharlapaev, met with Matthias Kranz, President of Linde GmbH for the Eastern Europe region, to discuss prospects for expanding co-operation and investment in Kazakhstan's economy.

Linde GmbH, the world's leading producer of technical gases and developer of technologies for industry and medicine, confirmed its interest in further investments in Kazakhstan. Matthias Kranz expressed satisfaction with the current level of co-operation and noted that Kazakhstan is a strategically important market for the company. Over the past year Linde has implemented a number of significant projects in the country, strengthening its position in the local market.

During the meeting they discussed further development of co-operation, especially in the context of green energy and sustainable technologies. The Head of Industry and Construction emphasised that the Government of Kazakhstan attaches great importance to attracting investment in the green energy sector and is ready to support projects aimed at sustainable economic development.
In addition, a proposal was made for Linde to co-operate with major Kazakh metal producers, including Qarmet, which could open up new opportunities for both sides.

Recall that in September 2023, during a meeting between the Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev and Senior Vice President of Linde GmbH Oliver Pfann expressed the company's willingness to increase investment activities in the Republic of Kazakhstan with an investment volume of 1 billion U.S. dollars.
