A pianist from Italy will conduct a master class for soloists of the International Academy of Astana Opera

Students of the Astana Opera International Opera Academy are preparing for the premiere of the comic opera “The Bell, or the First Wedding Night of the Pharmacist.”

The production will take place at the theater at the end of April.

For the first time, the famous opera teacher, pianist and conductor Alessandro Benigni will work with the soloists. The pianist coach was invited specially from Italy to conduct a master class.

During the training, Benigni will place accents and work with the soloists on phrasing and bel canto style.

Alessandro Benigni taught for more than 20 years at the Academy of Lyric Arts in Osimo (Italy) and worked with world opera performers. As a pianist and music director, he collaborated with famous theaters and festivals in Europe, Japan and other countries.

Now the maestro will share his invaluable wealth of knowledge with Kazakh soloists.
