A draft amendment to the List of in-demand professions for which foreigners will be able to more easily obtain a residence permit has been published on the Open Legal Entities portal.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, based on proposals from the Ministries of Health, Culture and Information, Digital Development and Aerospace Industry, plans to make changes and additions to the List of in-demand professions for foreigners to obtain permanent residence permits in the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter referred to as the List).

This list includes professions in the fields of healthcare, natural sciences, manufacturing, IT technology, innovation and aerospace, and others.

Taking into account the changes and additions proposed by sectoral government bodies, the list includes 51 in-demand professions.

Foreigners who have professions specified in the List can obtain a residence permit from the internal affairs bodies in a simplified manner. The residence permit will be issued with a validity period of 10 years or for the duration of the passport.
