Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Ecology Meets with Asian Development Bank Representatives
Kazakhstan’s Vice Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, M. Oshurbayev, held a meeting with representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as part of ADB’s consultation mission to Kazakhstan. The meeting focused on key aspects of cooperation within the framework of the “From Glaciers to Farms” (G2F) project.
As a reminder, during COP29, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, the Asian Development Bank, and the Green Climate Fund signed a Declaration of Partnership on climate change, glaciers, and transboundary cooperation.
A seminar will be held in Astana on January 30-31, 2025, to discuss financing mechanisms, criteria for selecting priority investments, and the implementation of innovative approaches to natural resource management. The event will feature representatives from government agencies, international organizations, the scientific community, and other stakeholders.
The seminar will provide participants with a platform for knowledge exchange, discussion of innovative solutions, and the development of joint actions aiming to improve environmental sustainability.
