Mastery of the Italian Conservatory for Kazakh students

Following the visit of the Head of State to Italy in January 2024, relations between Kazakhstan and Italy reached a new level and continue to develop in all directions, including cultural and humanitarian ones.


During this visit, meetings of relevant ministers were held.


Thus, the Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balaeva discussed with the Minister of Culture of Italy Gennaro Sangiuliano issues of interaction between countries in the field of art and signed a memorandum of cooperation.


As part of this agreement, in order to determine and discuss prospects for cooperation in the field of culture, on February 28, representatives of one of the most prestigious Italian conservatories, Santa Cecilia, arrived in Kazakhstan. Today Aida Balaeva held a meeting with members of the delegation.


The minister noted that Italy is one of the key centers of world art with a long history, therefore the development of cooperation in the field of culture and art is of particular importance for Kazakhstan.


The director of the conservatory, Franco Antonio Mirenzi, said that as part of the work program, creative meetings and master classes were held by Italian specialists in vocals, piano, piano, violin, chamber ensemble at the Kazakh National Conservatory named after. Kurmangazy and the Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after. Temirbek Zhurgenov in Almaty, as well as the Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana.

“We met with university students, teachers, got acquainted with the curriculum, the literature used and came to the conclusion that the prospects for international cooperation both in matters of methodology and in student training are quite high. The students have a great desire to learn, from the point of view of musicology and technology, they are well informed and prepared. They are ready to develop even more,” noted the director of the conservatory.


Based on the results of the trip, members of the delegation will prepare specific recommendations for improving the methods and technologies used in the educational process.
