World Space Olympiad: registration for engineering competition

The World Space Olympiad is a prestigious engineering competition aimed at developing skills and knowledge in space technology among schoolchildren.


The Olympiad includes several categories in which participants can demonstrate their abilities and innovative engineering developments. The final will take place in June 2024 at Nazarbayev University in Astana.


Competition categories:


CanSat: Students in grades 7-12 form teams of 2 or 3 to develop a model rocket with an on-board computer. The best projects will have the opportunity to be launched at the final stage of the competition.
Inventors: Participants from grades 5-8 or 9-12, working individually or in teams of up to 3 people, present engineering projects based on Arduino, LEGO or any other platforms. Projects should be aimed at solving global problems using space technologies.


The winners and holders of special nominations will be awarded valuable prizes, grants to leading universities, and will also have the opportunity to undergo internships in private and public space companies.
