In Astana, for the first time in honor of the national holiday Nauryz, the “Nauryz Ball” was held. The event brought together the diplomatic corps of various countries, heads of international organizations and representatives of foreign companies. The event was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva spoke about the new format for celebrating Nauryz Meiramy, and elaborated on the main theses of the Head of State, voiced at the third meeting of the National Kurultai. It is symbolic that it was during the Nauryznama period that large-scale initiatives for the development of the country were launched on an important dialogue platform.

The minister also listed the projects implemented by the Ministry in order to popularize the cultural heritage and modernize the country, and its promotion on the world stage.

Among them is the information and educational portal Qazaq сulture, the presentation of which took place at this event. The online portal was created as part of the President’s instructions to popularize the cultural and historical heritage of the country and promote the national brand. Qazaq Culture will become the hallmark of the multifaceted culture and rich history of Kazakhstan.

A striking example of multinational cooperation and intercultural dialogue is the first multinational song and dance ensemble in Kazakhstan “BIRLIK”. The team was created in 2024 to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the peoples of the world, popularize traditional music and dance.

Also, a few months ago the folklore ensemble “ZHOSHY” was created.The ensemble members play rare musical instruments such as “zhelbuaz”, “mes syrnay”, “uildek”, “tastauyk”. Their skill and talent have already found recognition; in the near future the creative team will perform on tour in China.

The honorary guests of the diplomatic ball congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on Nauryz.
