Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, having greeted US Senate member Steve Daines, noted the traditionally high dynamics of Kazakh-American cooperation. As the Head of State said, parliamentary diplomacy plays an important role in bilateral relations.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on issues of trade and economic cooperation. The leader of Kazakhstan emphasized that our country pays great attention to attracting investment, liberalizing the economy and developing industry. According to him, the key areas of bilateral cooperation are energy, exploration and processing of minerals, modernization of infrastructure, etc.
The interlocutors paid special attention to the topic of international and regional security.
In this context, the President noted that Kazakhstan was one of the first in the world to strongly condemn the brutal terrorist attack in the Moscow region and expressed solidarity with Russia. According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in the fight against terrorism, all countries, despite the contradictions in their relationships with each other, must join forces within the framework of a large-scale international coalition. Kazakhstan is ready to make its contribution to this necessary cause.
