Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the CPC of the XUAR of the People's Republic of China, Chairman of the People's Government of the XUAR Erkin Tuniyaz.

– I was recently in Urumqi, we had very good negotiations related to the prospects for the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in general and, of course, with the province of Xinjiang. We are closely monitoring China's economic growth, noting the dynamic development and results achieved in this process. China is one of the top countries in the world in terms of economic development. Therefore, for us, a neighboring state, cooperation is beneficial and necessary. As for Kazakhstan, we will do everything possible to ensure that this cooperation develops successfully,” the President said.

The head of state emphasized that our country successfully interacts with Xinjiang in many areas, including trade, industry, transport, logistics, agriculture and tourism. According to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the XUAR plays a strategic role in deepening the multifaceted ties between Kazakhstan and the PRC.
In turn, Erkin Tuniyaz thanked Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the hospitality provided.

– I want to express my gratitude to you for your contribution to the fight against the three forces of evil and for your contribution to maintaining stability in this region. Sino-Kazakh friendship has a long history. Under the strategic leadership of President Xi Jinping and Your Excellency, the integration of the One Belt, One Road initiative and the Nurly Zhol economic development strategy is being successfully carried out.China and Kazakhstan have established an eternal comprehensive strategic partnership. It should be especially noted that in March last year, a Xinjiang delegation led by the Secretary of the CPC Party Committee, Ma Xingrui, visited Kazakhstan and reached very important agreements. Last October, you visited us, which gave a very important impetus to the further development of our practical cooperation,” noted the Chairman of the People’s Government of the XUAR.

In conclusion, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that the visit of the Chairman of the People's Government of Xinjiang to Kazakhstan will contribute to the further deepening of interregional cooperation and cross-border cooperation.
