The kazneb.kz project of the National Academic Library of the Ministry of Culture and Information is being implemented in order to preserve and transfer to subsequent generations the intellectual heritage of Kazakhstan.

At the end of the 1st quarter of 2024, the project’s performance increased significantly compared to last year. Thus, the content of the National Electronic Library of Kazakhstan was viewed 1,696,874 times, an increase of 40%, 640,702 documents authorized by the authors were downloaded, an increase of 192%, the number of users increased by 68%, and attendance by 52%.

The National Electronic Library of Kazakhstan is visited by users from more than 100 countries. Mostly citizens of Russia, France, Uzbekistan, Turkey, USA, China, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, etc.

It should be noted that the collection of the Kazakhstan National Electronic Library contains more than 75 thousand documents in 64 languages. Including more than 10 thousand rare books and manuscripts in Arabic, Persian, Tatar, Chagatai and other languages, periodicals, dissertations and abstracts, audio-video files, maps, Kazakh folk songs and kuis, audio versions of epics.

It should be noted that KazUEK is the first state library portal capable of offering a wide range of information on Kazakh content. Any user can enter the portal of the National Electronic Library of Kazakhstan via the Internet, without registration or authorization, and familiarize themselves with full-text documents. In addition, the portal is adapted for the visually impaired.

The National Electronic Library cooperates with more than 201 organizations, including research institutes, international organizations, higher education institutions, academies, libraries, and publishing houses.
