Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu received the Dean of the diplomatic corps accredited in Astana, the Ambassador of Palestine to Kazakhstan Montaser Abu Zeid.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues related to the life of the diplomatic corps in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the prospects for further strengthening its interaction with the Kazakh foreign policy department.

The interlocutors noted the importance of supporting regular dialogue, organizing meetings and holding various cultural and socially significant events between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the diplomatic corps.

Doyen M. Abu Zeid expressed gratitude to the Minister for the support provided in providing comfortable conditions for the activities of foreign diplomatic missions in Kazakhstan.

In addition, the Palestinian Ambassador informed the Minister about the current situation in the Gaza Strip, and the parties also exchanged views on current issues on the international agenda.

M. Abu Zeid thanked the leadership and people of Kazakhstan for their support of the Palestinian people, incl. for providing financial support in the amount of $1 million and humanitarian aid in the amount of 38 tons sent to the Gaza Strip in December last year.
