Doctoral student at the Eurasian National University Asyltas Kaltenova is leading a project to develop the “Sana” application, which will help foreigners learn the Kazakh language. The unique application will present dialogues in the Kazakh language for everyday use and grammatical additions to them. The project is financed by a grant from L.N. Gumilev ENU “Jana Asu”. The developers plan to complete work on the application next year.

“There are many foreigners in Kazakhstan who want to learn to speak Kazakh, but unfortunately, there are few high-quality web resources and applications in our market. The existing ones explain only the grammar and vocabulary of the Kazakh language, but there are no practical words, phrases, or dialogues. So I thought about creating such an application. My goal is to bring the Kazakh language to the international level and I believe that such applications will help popularize our language among foreign guests,” notes Asyltas Kaltenova.

Now developers are creating a prototype of a mobile application and complex dialogues. The program will include audio guides containing grammatical and lexical explanations. The mobile application will be available for Android and iOS users.
