Volunteers collected 1,713 tons of humanitarian aid for flood victims

Volunteers continue to work in Aktobe, Kostanay, West Kazakhstan, Akmola, Atyrau regions, and Abay region. They provide assistance to victims at evacuation points, strengthen coastlines, and work at humanitarian aid collection points.

In order to combat the consequences of floods and provide assistance to affected settlements, the “Kushimiz Birlikte” campaign continues. She was supported by all youth resource centers, volunteers, political parties and representatives of republican youth organizations.

In particular, with the support of youth resource centers, the work of 20 volunteer front offices has been organized to receive humanitarian aid.

To date, 1,713 tons of humanitarian aid have been collected for the victims with the help of volunteers. 1320.4 tons have already been delivered to the regions. In total, over 29 thousand volunteers are involved who provide assistance to flood victims, participate in evacuation, collection and sorting of humanitarian aid, information coverage and are engaged in auto volunteering.

Representatives of youth resource centers of Turkestan and Almaty regions are located in West Kazakhstan, Atyrau and Aktobe regions. Currently, with the support of the Biz Birgemiz Foundation, together with volunteers in the Atyrau region, the “Alliance of Students of Kazakhstan”, the MK “Zhastar Rukhy”, the “Youth Congress of Kazakhstan” in Kostanay region, and the youth wing “Auyl Zhastary” of the “Auyl” party in the Akmola region are working.
