Kazakhstan and Belarus signed a joint action plan for the work of archives

A ceremony was held at the National Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan to sign the Practical Office Plan to expand cultural and humanitarian cooperation for 2024-2029 between Kazakhstan and Belarus.

The event, organized online, was attended by the Chairman of the Committee for Archives, Documentation and Book Affairs of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rustam Ali, from Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus was represented by the Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice Oleg Voinov, as well as the heads of the republican archival institutions of both countries.

During the event, the parties discussed issues of development of the archival sphere. The participants talked aboaut the exchange of information on the basis of existing sites, joint review of documents of compatriots who died during the Great Patriotic War as part of the “Partisan Movement” project. Great importance was paid to the study of heraldry.

In conclusion, Rustam Ali and Oleg Voynov signed a document on a joint work plan, which is designed to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
